Separated at birth?

My cat Clarence looks just like Prince Chunk*, that 44 lb cat from New Jersey that was in the media this summer....it lends credence to my friend Tony's theory that there are only 6 cats in the world. Seriously, Clarence only weighs 18 pounds, but he is one small boned cat....when we first took him in as a stray he only weight 8, so he has more than doubled in size.

He just likes to eat. A lot. And he doesn't like to move. A lot. Sometimes he stays in the same spot for hours and hours. It all adds up.

We really love our Clare Bear aka Mr C. He is a super cat...he is the only one of our cats who always lets me pet him and play with him, even when I get a little rough and Mommy has to step in and intervene. Anyway, fat cats are great (as long as they are healthy) and orange cats rule!!!

Here are some pictures of Prince Chunk:

This last one was after he was on a diet for about a month

And here are some of Clarence:

Everything on him is short...his fur, his whiskers, his ears, legs, tail, etc. Except his belly is wide. Really wide.

As big as he is, he managed to scoot through the gate opening

Hanging with me

laying down outside...you can kind-of make out his skinny little rat tail

here the tail is all poofed out, so it looks almost normal

just lazing around during our kitchen rehab

getting a treat

puppydog eyes

As you can see, he has a pink belly like Chunk...hopefully Big Mom won't see this...she'd be mad

Isn't he just so cute!

*the cats are even the same age, and in the video at the end, there is a gray cat who lives with Chunk who looks just like our cat Flint. Quelle coincidence!
