Seeing the X-mas Trees at the Museum

In addition to zoolights, I also went to the 75th Anniversary of the Museum of Science and Industry's annual Christmas tree exhibit this winter. It was wonderful!

In fact, it got me so into my own tree that I kept mine up until just past Valentine's Day, when Da finally said, 'enough,' and took it down.....but not before we loaded it up with ornaments!

*Please note that Da carried the camera, so Mama is actually in the pictures for this post.

Engaging one of my favorite activities

They did a science experiment for us where they mixed up some common household stuff and made very colorful goop called a polymer. But they wouldn't let us take it with us because they were afraid we would eat it and it was poisonous.

Here we are looking at the Germany tree

A closeup for Heidi

Checking out more trees

My favorite?

My real favorite ornaments were all the red sparkly ones...like this one from India

Not sure where this is from, but it was sparkly!

Smiling in front of the Belarussian tree

And of course, in front of the Polish tree

A cute kitty ornament that I refused to take a picture with, but Mama snapped anyway

Okay this is here really as a joke because Mama wanted to send out Solstice cards this year....at least next year we'll know what to put on them!

We also saw the rest of the museum...here I am with Da looking at the train exhibit

And again in the DNA section....
there's a video of me pushing buttons, but it's pretty boring.

I also looked at the chick exhibit with Mama

This one was brand new....

...and this one was a little older

We stayed until they kicked us out.
Of course, I finished by doing one of my favorite things...pushing buttons
